Dignified London

Another dreary day in a bustling modern city steeped in history. A few subtle touches continue to set this city apart from any other European city, which contributes to making this city what it is today, the world renowned London England. It is the simple details that really make an impression on you and leave you longing to return.

Before long one realizes what aids this city in maintaining its timelessness. British sayings such a “give way” to on coming traffic, or “mind the gap” when stepping into your tube car, remind you why London is so special. The most important noticeably being “look right”, reminding visitors every time they attempt to cross the busy streets that things are done differently here. Unknowingly stepping out into the narrow bendy streets, right in front of a moving black cab seems to be an inevitable occurrence your first time here. Almost immediately leaving literally any tube station, you catch a glimpse of how time almost stands still here. Black cabs, red double-decker buses, red telephone booths all incased by archaic facades, transport you back in time.

A must do on your to do list would be sampling a pint of bitter (beer), at any of the hundreds of pubs. Here you get not only a pint size taste of London life, but also an idea of the pride of London. Two things Londoners truly believe in is their football (soccer) and their bitter, both going seamlessly together. One unforgettable experience would de to enjoy your pint of bitter outside on the sidewalk while busy traffic drives by, a memorable piece of London life as you wait for your table outside your restaurant. Yes drinking on public sidewalks appears to be permitted here. A great idea if you ask me, if you want your customers to be thinking less about the long line and more about satisfying their stomachs.

Royalty still has its influence here, and the city is noticeably fit for a king, or queen. Although being one of the last remaining Monarchies, the British Monarchy, her Queen and the royal family are beloved by their people. Walking the streets from one illustrious spectacle to the next, one can’t help but think how royalty has shaped this city over the years.

London’s distinguished charm along with its citizens and their polished British accents, are together a recipe for nostalgia.

Enjoy our memories from London.
